Loving Homes

We help cats find new and loving homes for a great variety of reasons. Some have been abandoned, others have strayed. Many of our older cats have had to be given up by elderly owners moving to new accommodation where pets are not allowed. In some heartbreaking cases we get cats where the owner has died - we make sure they find their forever home.

Some, especially kittens, come from homes where owners simply cannot cope with more pets.  This underlines the importance of our on-going neutering and spaying campaign.

We try very hard to match a cat or kitten to a new home. Every prospective new owner receives a home visit by our Home Checker, who can give advice and allay any concerns while making sure that the potential new home will be just right for each individual cat.

All our cats have been treated to our minimum veterinary standards, meaning they have been examined by a veterinary surgeon, been vaccinated against flu, FeLV and enteritis, treated against fleas, roundworm and tapeworm and any sick cats have been blood tested for FIV and FeLV. All cats aged 4 months and above are neutered and every rehomed cat (regardless of age) goes to its new home with 4 weeks free Petplan Insurance.

Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR)

The Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programme involves humanely trapping the outdoor cats (usually feral), having them spayed or snipped and returning them to their outdoor homes. This means that these cats will not be able to produce any more kittens; there will be fewer cats in your community and they can go on to enjoy a healthier, happy life.
